The Indian children's and orphanage home Snehalayam relies on a diverse circle of supporters. First and foremost, the home manager Leela and her dedicated staff on-site should be mentioned, as they keep the facility alive with their valuable commitment. We, the support association Snehalayam e.V., have been providing the necessary financial support to this great work since our founding.
The house also receives occasional on-site assistance from friends in the community who help with bureaucratic matters, trips to the hospital, or excursion supervision.
Occasionally, wealthier families from nearby areas visit the house with their own children. This is not only a special experience for these families but is usually tied to a specific donation for a dinner for all residents. This allows for the purchase of higher-quality rice or even fish, for example. Snehalayam's own cooks prepare the shared dish for the visit. Symbolically, the guest family then distributes the food, initiating an extraordinary and joyful evening on the orphanage grounds.
